SUPPLIES:
Large Paper Clip
Two Pipe Cleaners
PUTTING IT TOGETHER……
1. Begin by gathering all the materials you will need for this project.
2. Take your first pipe cleaner, this will be for the motorcycle’s wheels. Fold the pipe cleaner in half, at the half way point attach the pipe cleaner to the paper clip by twisting it several times around the end loop.
3. Next roll each of the pipe cleaners ends into tight circles.
4. Take the second pipe cleaner (this is the motorcycle’s body) fold it in half. At the half way point attach the pipe cleaner to the paper clip. Twist it tightly.
5. Next, take the two strands of pipe cleaner and press them together. Fold the strand until the end piece is even with the back tire.
6. To make the handle bars wrap the pipe cleaner ends around the very top of the tire.
7. Bend the ends pipe cleaners to make handle bar shapes.
8. Give Dad the Motorcycle Bookmark for Father’s Day.
If Dad would prefer a Dog Bookmark follow the directions below.
9. Take your first pipe cleaner and fold it in half. At the half way point attach the pipe cleaner to the paper clip by twisting it tightly. Form loops on either end of the pipe cleaner for the dog’s ears.
10. Take another pipe cleaner and twist it tightly around the center of the paper clip.
11. Form a tight circle for the dog’s face. Take the end of the pipe cleaner and wrap it around the bottom of the paper clip.
12. Finally use a black pipe cleaner to make the dog’s face. Thread the pipe cleaner end through the center of the circle and bend to form the snout, then take it through again to form each eye. When done trim away the excess pipe cleaner.
