Bird's in a Nest

This is such a fun interactive craft for children!  They will love flying their little chicks around and then bringing them back to the nest.

Materials:
Construction Paper
Popsicle Sticks or Tongue Depressor
Paper Plate
Glue Stick
Safety Scissors
Crayons

Instructions:
  • Begin by gathering all the materials you will need for this craft.
  • Cut out a bird shape, use the snowman method (one circle for the head, one larger circle for the body). ** Cut out a triangle for the beak, ovals for the wings, and (2) three prong crowns for the feet.
  • Using a glue stick glue the accessories onto the bird shape and color on the face.
  • Cut a paper plate in half for the bird's nest.  Color the nest and make slits at the top for placement of the birds. ***
  • Lastly, take popsicle sticks or tongue depressors and tape the birds onto them.
